The reason behind this is an obstacle that is blocking your browsing, it is a program which you can find in your add or remove programs and also in the add-ons list in your browser. There are two programs which may be installed on your computer with or without your knowledge and creating trouble for your browsing, these are called browser hijackers. These programs can be found in your programs list and also in the add-ons list in the browser as I said earlier. One of them seems to be an antivirus and even named in such a way which is privacy safeguard. Privacy safeguard is a program which misleads the users and makes them to install it on their computers which later on creates a problem by blocking a particular website or by blocking every website showing an error called object error. How to get rid of the object error message displayed on your screen when you visit a particular website or every website
1. If the
Operating System is Vista or Windows 7 go to Programs and features and if it is windows
XP go to add/remove programs from the Control Panel
2. Search for
the programs with the names privacy safeguard or unfriend checker
3. Click on
the program and uninstall or remove the program
4. Now reboot your
computer
5. If the
problem still exists go to the browser showing the object error message
6. Go to mange
add-ons if it is Internet explorer and search for the add-on with the name
privacy safeguard or unfriend checker and try to remove them
7. Go to settings
- > toolbars and extensions if it is Google Chrome and search for the
browser hijacker and remove it
8. If you are
not able to remove the add-on from the browser go to Operating System drive
which is generally C in most of the computers and then to Program files and
search for the folders privacy safeguard or unfriend checker and remove the
entire folder manually by deleting it permanently using Shift+ Del keys
9. Reboot your
computer and now your computer is free from browser hijackers
